Dubai, UAE: Netflix's animated action-comedy, KPop Demon Hunters, has marked another impressive achievement. It just became the most-watched animated film ever on the streaming platform.

Released on June 20, the movie produced by Sony Pictures Animation, has accumulated over 100 million total views in less than two months. Reports indicate that it has now reached approximately 132.4 million views.

The supernatural animation consistently ranked in Netflix's Top 10 films across the globe for six consecutive weeks since its debut, and notably garnered 26.3 million views in the week of July 21-27 alone.

The film's success extends to the music charts. Its original soundtrack captivated global audiences and emerged as the highest-charting animated film soundtrack of 2025, with several songs dominating various international music charts.

This story introduces HUNTR/X, a fictional idol girl group leading extraordinary dual lives.

By day, they captivate sold-out stadiums with their performances; by night, they transform into formidable demon hunters, battling the supernatural demonic boy band known as the Saja Boys.

Huntr/x, composed of Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, are on a mission is to protect a magic barrier known as the Honmoon, which prevents demons from entering the human world. Using their music, they must turn the Honmoon golden, to stop the demon king Gwi-Ma and the demon world from resurfacing ever again.

This inventive premise, combined with top-tier animation and the vibrant energy characteristic of K-pop, quickly resonated with Netflix audiences worldwide, making it an instant global phenomenon.

Beyond the screen, the film’s original music has achieved significant real-world success, becoming some of the most-listened artists in recent weeks.

Its soundtrack debuted at an impressive No. 8 on the Billboard 200, marking the highest soundtrack debut of 2025.

Notably, its standout track, "Golden," performed by EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and REI AMI, has surged to reclaim the No. 1 position on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts.

Furthermore, songs from the fictional bands, including "Your Idol" by the Saja Boys and "Golden" by HUNTR/X, have even surpassed real-life K-pop giants like BTS and BLACKPINK on various Spotify charts, cementing the soundtrack's unexpected dominance.
