Abu Dhabi, UAE, July 15, 2024 – Due to overwhelming demand, an additional show has been added for the critically acclaimed musical CHICAGO at Etihad Arena, Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. The additional performance will take place on 18 September 2024 at 8PM, providing more opportunities for audiences to experience the longest-running American musical in Broadway history which will be running from 15 to 22 September 2024.
The international tour cast of CHICAGO features Sarah Soetaert as Roxie Hart, Michelle Antrobus as Velma Kelly, Ian Kelsey as Billy Flynn, Linda John Pierre as Mama Morton, and Todd Talbot as Amos Hart.
· Sarah Soetaert reprises her role as Roxie Hart, which she has performed in London's West End (Phoenix Theatre) and on numerous tours. Her other credits include Helen Burger in The Glenn Miller Story (UK Tour) and Baroness Schraeder in The Sound of Music (UK Tour).
· Michelle Antrobus brings her experience of playing Velma Kelly in Japan earlier this year. She has also starred as Clarice in West Side Story (Salzburg Festival) and Cat Woman & Harley Quinn in Batman Live (Arena World Tour).
· Ian Kelsey returns as Billy Flynn, a role he played in London's West End (Cambridge Theatre) and on the China tour in 2019. His other performances include Professor Callahan in Legally Blonde at The Curve Leicester and Danny in Grease on the West End.
· Linda John Pierre reprises her role as Mama Morton, previously performed at RCCL. She has also played Debbie in Mamma Mia! The Party (London O2) and The Empress in Aladdin (New Wimbledon Theatre).
· Todd Talbot steps into the role of Amos Hart, with other theatre credits that include Cats (World Tour), An American in Paris (Dominion Theatre), and Sinatra (London Palladium).
Since its debut 27 years ago, CHICAGO has captivated audiences worldwide with its timeless story and unforgettable music. Described as “the most exciting musical of its generation” by The Times, CHICAGO remains a testament to the allure of Broadway.
